Senior RF Planning & Optimization Engineer

Optimizes new and existing network elements, links budget analysis, system dimensioning for coverage and capacity, initial system design and dimensioning, site identification and evaluation and zones analysis.

TTIS is seeking Senior RF Planning and Optimization Engineers that requires good knowledge of principles, practices and procedures applied in providing advice and consultation on RF engineering matters. Works without supervision, conferring on technical issues only for unusual situations. Within the context of job responsibilities, assignments require originality and ingenuity and considerable latitude for un-reviewed decision-making. Responsibilities include optimizing new and existing network elements, linking budget analysis, system dimensioning for coverage and capacity, initial system design and dimensioning, site identification and evaluation and zoning analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of RF engineers and independently to perform RF network optimization activities during network rollout phase
  • Ensure data integrity of various morphology/topography databases and drive test data for model calibration
  • Radio Planning and Optimization of a GSM/WCDMA/LTE (2G/3G/4G) network to trouble shoot and improve KPIs
  • Analysis of KPIs, investigation and improvement of network quality problems
  • Implementation of new features and tuning GSM/WCDMA/LTE (2G/3G/4G) radio network parameters
  • Analysis of neighbor relations and implementation of corrections
  • Cell and neighbor parameters data fill for new sites and carrier upgrades
  • New feature and parameter trials and performance reporting
  • Perform RF performance activities in customer projects independently, according to project plan and in project managers guidance
  • As an area/zone mentor, to teach, nurture and monitor the progress and development of fellow engineers and their work
  • Develop processes and guidelines
  • Provide technical training on multi-vendor, multi-technology and multi-band networks
  • Provide support to customers in field of expertise
Desired Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5-7 years’ work experience in RF Planning & Optimization for LTE/WCDMA/GSM (4G/3G/2G)
  • LTE/WCDMA/GSM (4G/3G/2G) Radio Network Planning and Optimization knowledge
  • LTE/WCDMA/GSM (4G/3G/2G) technology understanding and know-how
  • LTE/WCDMA/GSM (4G/3G/2G) design and optimization experience
  • Must have worked on one industry acceptable: performance data management tool, drive test tool or other planning/optimization tool
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Science
  • End-user / customer problem investigation
